Murphy Bond to Hugh Brown

Know all men by these presents that I, Duncan Murphy am hold and firmly bound unto Hugh Brown, in the just and full sum of one hundred pounds species. And for the well and justly payment thereof, I bind myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, or assigns, firmly by these presence sealed with my seal and dated the first day of January 1790.

A condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound Duncan Murphy, his heirs or assigns will not take every advantage at law of Hugh Brown, concerning a piece or parcel of land lying between Widow Buie's and Murphy's lower line. If in case the full compliment should not be found, the patent courts for them, this obligation to be void and non-effect. Otherwise to be and remain in full force and virtue at law.
