Duncan Brown Obituary

The Rev. Duncan Brown, son of Hugh Brown and Mary Buie, moved to Maury County, Tennessee with his wife Susanna Frierson in the early 1800's.  Included on this page are the letters he wrote to his brother, Neill Brown, who lived in Robeson, County, North Carolina between 1810 and 1831.

There is also a letter from "Porky Pine" to the Rev. Duncan Brown and John Smith concerning their duties and responsibilities as newly elected elders at Philadelphus Presbyterian Church.  It is believed this letter would have been written in the 1790's.

Finally, a copy of Rev. Duncan Brown's Obituary is included.
