In their latter years, Hugh Brown and Mary Buie move from Cumberland County, North Carolina to Robeson County, North Carolina near Philadelphus.

On this page are several documents associated with Hugh Brown.  They are:

Murphey Bond - This involves a parcel of land and a deed of trust for the same.

Patrick Travers - This involves a financial obligation of Neill Buie and Neill McCranie, and Neill Brown took testimony that Patrick Travers was no longer in the country.

Hugh Brown Death - This is an entry written in Hugh Brown's or Duncan Brown's Bible by Duncan Brown, recording the date of death of Hugh Brown.

Brown Cemetery - The Brown Cemetery is located near Philadelphus, North Carolina in Robeson County, and is the place where Hugh Brown and Mary Buie along with Neill Brown and Ann Smith, and William Brown and Mary Campbell are burried.  This plat was made in the 1950's by me and confirmed by my father, E. L. Buie, and my cousin, Lacy C. Buie, both direct descendants of William Brown and Mary Campbell and Neill Brown and Ann Smith.  The cemetery is still in possession of the family ( Joe Todd Buie).
